Arthurton House subtly reconfigures an existing federation house using a circular rammed earth wall as the hearth of a dwelling. The circular drum, which contains a helix cantilever stair acting
as an architectural device – as a social hub for the house, where daylight is brought right into the heart of the home, as an interface to mediate between the social living space and the more
private studio and upper floor terrace and last as an indoor garden where nature blends into the living, quite literally as a live-in terrarium.
Arthurton House has received planning and will commence on-site at the end of 2022.
